The South Korean Environment Ministry is currently moving forward to make amendments to safety and labelling of particular Biocides.
By amending the guidance of products that have a high risk, the Environment Ministry hopes that the new content will set new limits for some substances found within the products.
On October 7, 2016 the Ministry announced the new draft amendments to the Safety and Labelling standard for any biocidal product that has a sterilising, antibiotic, preservative function, and disinfectant. There will be a six month transition period for the amended labelling standards, and the new safety standards will have a three-month grace period from the effective date, which has yet to be made.
Companies will be able to send their comments about the amendments until October 28, 2016.
