January 1 United States Manufacturers and all subsequent distributors must make test summaries available for lithium cell batteries

January 1 European Union New information requirements for chemical registration under REACH come into effect
January 5 Japan First 2022 deadline for new chemical notification to METI
January 14 Japan Deadline for comments regarding the addition of 234 substances to Schedule 9 of the Enforcement Order of ISHL, plus associated thresholds for the provision of safety data sheets and
January 14 California Public comments regarding the proposed amendments to short form Proposition 65 warning regulations are due to the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA)
February 1 Taiwan Manufacturers are required to begin recording daily volume of hydrofluoric acid operations and submit a monthly report to the competent authority
February 2 Canada Public comment period closes for the Draft Screening Assessment for Acids and Bases Group
February 11 Canada Public comment period closes for proposed regulations for coal tar-based sealant Products
