Oct. 25 EU:The new Chesar as a means to achieve a compliant chemical safety report
This notice is brought to you by the ECHA.
New functionalities are added to ECHA’s Chemical Safety Assessment and Reporting tool (Chesar) to better support the preparation of chemical safety reports. After already covering assessment tools for the environment and workers, for the first time, an exposure estimation tool for consumers is included. ECHA recommends that registrants use Chesar 2.1 to prepare or update their registration dossiers.
Chesar 2.1 also offers the possibility to start preparing exposure scenarios for communication in the supply chain. The tool includes a library of standard phrases, which can be used to communicate the relevant results of the chemical safety assessment to downstream users.
