National Regulations Governing SDSs

GHS for industrial chemicals has been adopted in Russia on a voluntary basis. Russian Federation Decree 1019 on Technical Regulation for Chemical Product Safety enters into force 1 July 2021.

GHS SDSs and labels are optional for substances and mixtures until 1 July 2021 when they become mandatory.

Classification is based on GHS rev. 4 with some unique requirements.

GHS Implementation Status

GHS partially implemented. Slow progress towards full implementation for July 1st 2021.
