The Natural and Non-prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD) has released a questionnaire to industry member who sell alcohol-based hand sanitizers in Canada. The purpose is to strategically plan and determine next steps for temporary site licensees.
Back in spring 2020 when COVID-19 was given pandemic status in North America, Health Canada announced that companies wishing to sell alcohol-based hand sanitizer could do so by receiving expedited licenses under a temporarily measure. Once the pandemic status is lifted, products will either need to be withdrawn from the market or undergo a full site license registration in order to continue sales in Canada.
This questionnaire will be open until Friday, January 15, 2021. If you have any questions, please contact: hc.nnhpd.consultation-dpsnso.sc@canada.ca
