The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued for consultation draft guidance for nanoscale reporting rules.
Once this regulation comes into place, it will require only one-time reporting for existing and new nanoscale materials. The guidance, which is ruled out under section 8(a) in the EPA’s Information Gathering Rule on Nanomaterials, answers many of the questions received from both manufacturers and processors.
Some of the questions answered include:
– What information must be reported?
– Who is required to report the material?
– What is a reportable material?
All comments in regards to the nanoscale draft guidance are due by June 15, 2017.
