Canada’s Substance Data Request

The Canadian Government is requesting data on the substances they have determined to be toxic under section 64 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.

 

The government states that information is needed on these substances to identify the current status, quantities and use patterns. Information that is gathered regarding these substances will help information future regulations and control actions.

 

Substances that are covered in the 2017 schedule are:

 

 

 

 

    • hexavalent chromium compounds;

 

    • PREPOD;

 

    • decaBDE, DBDPE and DP; and

 

    • refractory ceramic fibre.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Data on these substances is due by June 28, 2017.
